SBI the nationalized bank of india. I had taken the sbi magnam tax gain 93 fund in 2005. The performance of the fund was excellent. They used to pay very high divided. I have taken units for Rs 40000/-. I used to get around rs 8000/- yearly as dividend. I redeem the fund in 2008.
Last two years back I have taken sbi blue chip fund growth option. it has given around 20% compound interest.
I treat that if we invest in state owned companies like sbi we will have safety and security and will have good sleep without any doubt like making fixed deposit in bank
