hi,
i want to share my bitter experience with SBI credit card.
i have dropped cheque for Rs: 8000/- for clearance of my SBI credit card due at SBI, St.Marks Road, Bangalore .
cheque is of HSBC bank, bangalore. amount got debited from my savings account of HSBC but not shown in my credit card statement.when contact SBI they said cheque is returned by HSBC without any reason mentioned.
when contacted HSBC they told cheque got cleared as there is sufficient amount.
i had contacted SBI call center and faxed cheque clearance certificate which I took from HSBC and copy of cheque. I didnt get any response. I am not sure where Rs:8000/- is missing..
i have sent mail to _feedback.gesbi@ge.com_ <mailto:feedback.gesbi@ge.com> & faxed letter to manager with copy of clearance certificate of cheque to SBI credit division, chennai. there is no response ..
finally I decided to approach consumer court. while in this process I heard about Banking ombudsman . consumer redressal cell from RBI . and I contacted RBI, Bangalore and got mail id bobangalore@rbi.org.in and sent detailed mail how the money got missing and non responsive nature of SBI credit cards division.
After 3 weeks logging a call at Banking ombudsman I got a call from SBI saying that Rs:8000/- is credited to my card.
SBI credits division is worst in service and cheating customers .
they charged Rs.35/- amount for cheque pickup fee even though I dropped cheque in their drop box.
this got only reversed after contacting their call center..
i decided to never use SBI (GE) credit card .
Regards,
Vijay
