I never thought of getting this card until one of their agents started almost begging me to apply for it. He said
I will not be charged any commision at the petrol stations plus I’d get discounts on other products at all Indian Oil Outlets. I thought that’d be useful and went for it.
Promises made :
Annual Fee 350/- no other fee.
No Commission on Petrol @ Indian Oil Bunks.
Not usable on the Net.
Impeccable Service round the clock.
On the arrival of the First Statement:
* They Charged Annual fee of 550/- and joining Fee of 225/- ??
* Every Petrol Bunk Transaction had a Commission charge.
* I tried using it on the Net and it worked!! (Dangerous)
* Extremely lousy service , Rude, discourteous Personnel, unprofessional attitude and behaviour over the phone.
The last point repeated time and again, infact one of the times I told them that I’d terminate the Card Account if this goes on.
Last week I finally did it.
I get back a pre formatted letter saying they have received a termination request and they are unhappy to lose me etc and made absolutely no references to me grievances listed in the letter I sent them.
I have other credit cards and I am quite happy with them. I don’t need a credit card from such an unprofessional vendor like SBI/GE-Cap. Shame on them.
Please do not bother to take the SBI Card even if they offer it free or cost. there are better ones like Standard chartered, ICICI etc. who atleast know how to make their employees speak to their customers properly.
