Pathetic Service and response.

SBI Card make life Disgust.


No Prompt response from customer care.


Way back in Jan 2010 when I had to move to US for my job, I had requested for my card closure. I have no pending charges on my card then. I emailed customer care on Feb 2011 and have not received any response, calling them did not help so I have deposited my card cut int pieces in a sbi card drop box.


Now after almost 2 years My Parents call me and say they received a bill from SBI for 311.34 statement dated 18 Dec 2011 which is mostly the annual fee for the card.


UPDATE:


I have been trying to reach customer care on the help line and the IVR is like a maze and would never end the call with a rep.


Email option has a 7 - 14 days turn around time.


IVR does not accept my card number(I just entered what I found on the bill)


At last I opted for lost card and it has connected me to a rep.


Rep want me to get back to IVR and enter the card number.


I had to be rude and explain that IVR does not accept my card number and my situation and frustration caused by SBI card 2 years after cancelling the service.


They said they would send me a letter confirming the cancellation of CARD in 10 days.


I need to check if that would happen.


SBI card is worst and would only cause trouble for people. It just keeps troubling its customers.
