I have been using SBi credit cards for about 8 years. What I initially thought was SBI is a big and nationalized bank, so I will not be facing any problems like other private banks. Please spread this word to everyone that, SBI does not issue any credit cards, it is GE who is doing it in the name of SBI. You will not find the name of GE in any of your card or statement but when you go for feedback or customer care you will find them. You will not face any problem if you just purchase and pay, if you would like to contact the SBI cards for any purpose, NO you cannot.
Customer Service: Their customer service is the worst. It will take weeks for them to reply to your mail and if you call and enter your credit card number , the system says "Invalid Number". GE is actually spoiling the reputation of SBI by providing Credit cards in SBI name. If you would like to send a complaint send it to head.sbicards@ge.com , if you do not receive any reply forward that mail to feedback.gesbi@ge.com .
SBI employees will have no idea about this credit card division. Once I walked into a SBI Branch to inquire about depositing a cheque for my credit card, no wonder the manager said we are no way connected with SBI cards.
Finance Charges:
For Rs 600/- credit the finance charges will be Rs 95 and GST Charges will be Rs 5.95, I donot know how much percentage interest they charge.
Do not fall a prey for GE (SBI) cards. Rather please do not get any credit cards.
