I opened a saving account with SBI and along with it these guys got my data so they started chasing me for the SBI Visa credit card.
I already had few cards so I just refused however after several persuasion and especially when they told me that this is absolutely free I thought it is a good to have kind of product so I took it.
As generally happen you never notice what are the fine prints, same has happened with me I did not notice that I need to spend 5K on first month post that they will set it free.
Since I was not aware I never used it.
After first month I got my statement and found there is 725 Re is showing as Joining fee. I called the customer care and asked about the charges they said this will be waived off if you make some purchase of 5K.
I shopped for 5K and paid before the due date.
Next month the outstanding was still there with some taxes and now reached 900 re.
I again called and checked with them they said this you have to pay as per terms and condition.
My question is it was sold to me as free card then why this is there.
Second time why it was not made me clear that the charges would not be waived off.
Now today again they have send me the bill of 1225 Re with late fee charges and other charges.
And not closing my account also .they have threaten to me that they will seize my
Account if I would not clear the balance.
What a joke, anybody listening!
