More problems after paying full dues

Review : It is more than one & half year since I have made full and final settlement towards my SBI credit card which I was holding. But till date I keep receiving umpteen number of letters and statements asking me to make payments for some amount which keep varying all the time. In fact after making the full payment, I had requested to give a no due certiifcate. I was told before making payment that I will be getting the no due certificate. After making payment, I had to keep calling them and reminding them to send me a no due certificate but in vain and finally forgot the same. Just after few months I receive a monthly statement showing approx five thousand as minimum balance and I should make payment immediately. Again I kept making calls to them and visited the collection office also. subsequently to my astonishment I have received a letter stating ’’ requires your urgent and necessary action’’ and the letter states ( I am quoting the words from their letter) ’’ ...we are however giving you an opportunity to settle the outstanding dues for Rs 6177.62 before 30th June 2005. The funny thing is that every time a letter or statement comes, the last line reads as ’’If you have already made your payment, please ignore this letter.’’ We can ignore this letter if we have made payment, But such letter and statements keep coming and shows an increased amount everytime with added interest and what not plus increasing the consumer tension. Why am I to receive such letter and statements at all?.

I am so much fed up of receiving their letter that, I wouldnt get surprised if they send me a legal notice also. By the way, before they do so, I have already sent a legal notice and after reading the reviews I have also made up my mind to go to consumer court.
