Scooby Doo Where Are You???????????
Wherever you are, ensure that you don?t watch the movie made with your name and thus classifying you as a central figure in this movie, and yet this movie does not have you as the central figure????. confused???.I am still as to why such a movie was ever made.
Before we start a look at the cast for this movie:
Freddie Prinze Jr. Fred
Sarah Michelle Gellar Daphne
Matthew Lillard Shaggy
Linda Cardellini Velma
Seth Green Patrick
Alicia Silverstone Heather
Neil Fanning Scooby Doo (voice)
Add to this another host of other character (monsters)???..
The movie begins with the opening of a new criminology museum that has the costumes, donated by the Mystery Inc, of criminal un masked by them.
Here the story begins, with the appearance of an evil mask figure who threatens to wipe off Mystery Inc and steals a couple of the costumes from the museum. The masked man then uses these costumes to create new monsters from through his ?Monster Creating Machine?
Heather (Alicia) is a news reporter who is covering the whole incident, and from then she watches every move of Mystery Inc and never misses an opportunity to malign them through the press.
This movie has the return of some of the classic monsters unmasked by the gang, like the Tar Monster, Miner 49er etc??
As I said in the opening lines this movie does not give enough focus and importance to Scooby Doo, who would have been the comical character for the movie. Instead the movie gave some time for some romantic shades for Velma.
Good:
Performance wise, all the characters did do justice to the script and role they were asked to play. Comic timing of Sarah Michelle Gellar was perfect, Linda (Velma) was given a more sexy look this time, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy was perfect with the voice and character.
Few of the laughs provided were good, not may be hilarious, but good enough.
Bad:
Well most of the jokes were really really really bad???
I mean? come on?? you can?t destroy a monster by farting can you????????
Few more fart jokes here and there and this movie goes down the drain?..
Also, this is supposed to be a kids flick, but, almost all of the movie is shot as though it is some kind of a dark age movie.
On the whole I would recommend this movie to calm down the little monsters in your homes, but for only one time viewing. If they ask for more, tune in to Cartoon Network, the best Scooby Doo shows are over there?.

P.S. Comment welcome. Criticisms on where to improve on my review more than welcome??.
