I had heard that the Sri Dharmasthala Yoga and Nature Cure Hospital https://naturecure.org.in/ is a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate with great treatments based on the "nature cure" idea.
I enrolled for a 10 day(that is the bare minimum duration that you are expected to stay when you choose to enroll yourself into the hospital). I had to leave in 5 days.
The reasons were:
The doctors who met the "patients" everyday were not credible. Theyd come in every morning and write in the treatment card that one needed to get an enema or some other treatment the next day. They would also write down what the diet had to be.
However it became clear from day 2 that the doctors didnt evaluate each patients personal medical condition, age, fitness and mental state before recommending treatments or diets. How was this clear? Because when a different doctor came by he would look at the recommended treatment and say "why have they written these 2 treatments for the same day. Both are de-hydrating and not advised for a person of your age. And why have they put you on this diet. You should be on this other diet."
Over and above the fact that the de facto doctoring is done by interns, and the senior doctors contradicted each others medical opinions, the doctors tended to be indifferent and one senior doctor was downright rude.
The diet is dodgy because no one makes the effort to explain why a certain juice or a certain diet is being recommended. One is highly suspicious of the planning and scientific basis of the diet.
Overall, I think because of its price, if they called themselves an in-expensive spa it would work better for me. However I take serious exception when they call themselves a hospital. I dont think they are ready to be a reliable, health care giver yet.
