My Seagate 3.5 inch 1 TB external hard drive crashed within warranty period. When I visited their authorized service center here in Kolkata I was told that I had to generate service ticket online. I assume staffs were too busy to generate tickets for their customers. After generating ticket I revisited the service center and exchanged my faulty drive with a repaired one. Yes you read it right, if your Seagate hard drive crashes within warranty period you would not get a new one. Instead the company would replace your hard drive with a repaired one. I had to wait for a month to get a repaired hard drive from Seagate service center. Overall my experience was not good with Seagate after sales support.
