I bought this Hard Disk when my old Dell Inspiron laptop was in its last stages. I had a lot of data on the laptop and needed a backup quickly. Seagate’s Slim HDD came to the rescue and proved to be a real life saver. I was able to save all my data quickly and was able to seamlessly transfer it to my MacBook Air.
The HDD comes in a nice, sturdy packaging. It has a good quality metallic exterior and a hard plastic underbody. The metal surface keeps it from getting too hot too quickly. Although long usage will heat it up.
The cable could have fit more snuggly in the HDD. I always feel a bit apprehensive while attaching it to my laptop. The connection remains slightly loose. The ultra slim light vent cut into the metal surface at the top glows subtly and does not interfere by being too bright.
I didn’t like the fact that Seagate does not provide HDD cases with their products. An 8000-9000 rupees HDD needs protection from falling and occasional rough handling.
Overall, this is a good product that can be bought without any hesitation. Go for it.
