I bought Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB in red color and will divide the different aspects of the device and it’s service and then write my feedback about them to make it more readable.
In the box: I received the Seagate Backup Plus Slim device along with a USB cable to connect it with a laptop and a quick startup guide in the box.
Performance: The product functions very smoothly. When you first plug it in, you can register it online and download the seagate dashboard for a more arranged functionality but downloading this is completely optional.
Available Space: The device has a storage space of 931GB out of which 930GB was free as there were some files like the warranty PDF, initial setup guide etc already stored in the device. Along with this product I got 200GB of free cloud storage.
Warranty: This harddisk has a warranty of 3years and you can view the same by visiting the site: support.seagate.com/customer/en-US/warranty_validation.jsp after you complete the registration of your product online.
Registration: Do register your product before starting to use it to view your warranty and other cloud storage. Visit: [...] for the same.
Size/Dimension: The dimension of the product is 11.4 x 7.6 x 1.2 cm and is very light weight. I’m uploading some pics of this device alongside an iPhone 6 for you to compare the size.
Look: I bought this product in red color. The look is very sleek and has a matte finish on the body. It has an LED on the front, top left corner and a seagate logo on the front, bottom right corner.
Price: I paid Rs. 4, 590 for 1TB in red color which is a complete value for money keeping in mind the performance and design of the product.
Delivery: The delivery was good, didn’t take too long nor did I receive it too early.
Dealer: Please do buy this product with a TRUSTED DEALER if you don’t want any issue with the product or with it’s warranty. I read a lot of reviews regarding warranty issues and that usually happens when you buy this product with an untrusted dealer. It’s not just about this product but any product that you purchase online, specially electronic products. On Amazon there’s a lot of option of dealers that you can buy your product with. Please remember to choose a TRUSTED DEALER. I bought mine from "Cloudtail" dealer as I have purchased a lot of electronic items from them earlier and have received genuine products from them always. If at all there’s any issue, "Cloudtail" will refund your money and you can return the item, which from my experience is a very rare case.
