Search. Get Paid. Be Smart.........???????
I am all for internet ’’make a buck’’ type sites (obviously, since I am a new Mouthshut.com frequent-flyer). Somehow, about several months ago I got turned on to SearchCactus.com.
The premise is simple - use their search engine, get paid for doing so. Or so I thought.
SearchCactus.com compensates users for their time searching the web, while offering advertisers highly competitive and unique advertising opportunities. The problem is that you have to do a MASSIVE amount of searching to make this happen. After two months of only using their search engine I am up to a whopping $3.34. OOOOHHH, AHHHHHH! Yeah right. Now also keep in mind that they do not pay until you reach $20.00, and even then you have to wait for a certain time of the month.
SearchCactus.com is a bid for placement search engine developed to provide users with the best search results on the web. The issue here is that, as far as I can tell, this is not even CLOSE to being an efficient search engine. More often than not you get booted to yet another engine - Looksmart. An additional step!
They have a referral program - I have one referral and I’ve yet to see something come of it so the jury is still out on that one.
