Beautifully composed and played...

First off, I don’t usually listen to instrumentals... but, that was until I listened to the track ’’Song From a Secret Garden’’ from the album of the same name.

It took me a while to get the album, but I think it was worth the while. It is the best album in my collection. I still get goose flesh when I listen to that track.

Secret Garden

Founded in 1994, Secret Garden comprises of Norwegian producer/composer/pianist/keyboardist Rolf Lovland and Irish Violinist Fionnuala Sherry.

Songs From A Secret Garden

This is their first album. Initially, before getting the album, I thought that only that song would be good (like in most albums :-) However, I cannot think of a track that I would like to replace in the entire album. Each one is so beautiful.

Favourite tracks

Adagio, Song From A Secret Garden, Serenade To Spring, Atlantia, Cantoluna and the rest in that order.

The music seems to have a kind of calming effect, especially when you listen to it in dim light.

Would I recommend it to others?

Absolutely, if you like quality music, especially the violin. There are some who hate violins or classical. Those people can skip this - but I would still say - listen to it some of the tracks once before saying you may not like this.

If you got this, and you like it - I would also recommend White stones by Secret Garden.
