The movie begins with an Antakshari with school girls, then one girl, Insia started singing a song which was written by her composed by her also. They were gone for some school tour. Then she went to her family with her mother. Her father was rude to everybody. He used to punish her mother physically. He doesn’t like his daughter much. Her mother bought a Laptop for her. She made a YouTube channel and put a song by wearing a burkha. After that, she got famous with the title secret superstar. She suffered from a lower mark in exams. So, her father broke her laptop. She couldn’t able to upload more videos. One flop singer Shakti Kumar saw her videos and post a video for her, then she called him. He gave a chance to sing for her and then her song got released without maintaining her name. Finally, she got separated from her father to avoid the physical torture.
Performance by every actor is good. Especially, Aamir Khan did a wonderful job with his role as Shakti Kumar. Zaira did as per expectation.
All the songs of the movie are excellent. Especially, my favorite one is "Meri Maa".
Cinematography was also good.
