I have completed my Diploma in Software Testing from Seed Mumbai Vashi branch. The counselor there speaks properly with you only till the time you take admission. After that, it’s like she doesn’t give a damn. The teaching is average. I think I can learn all those things myself by simply reading a book. But the reason I joined seed was because of there fake promises of full placement assurance. Sadly, that has been one of the biggest disappointments. Paying 28K just for learning few things about testing is simply too much.
Getting shortlisted for a company is a big achievement. They send lots of mails but there is no reply after that. They even post campus for Wipro BPO, Sutherland etc ! Seriously guys, if I wanted to join a BPO I would have done so directly without wasting the fee I paid for testing. They have lots of students that are still not placed and in one company only one student gets placed and in most nobody gets placed.
Forget about going for the interview, even getting a shortlisted call for interview is a big deal. If you are lucky you may get a call once in 2 months ! Pure waste of money. Please don’t listen to the counselors, they will say there is a boom in testing, the fact is nobody is ready to hire a fresh graduate with no development exp in testing. So freshers please beware stay away from such crap promises by institutions like Seed. There simply isn’t any opening for fresh software testers.
