I completed my S/W testing course from SEED Infotech, Vashi recently . There are a few things which I would like to share.
- It doesn’t makes any sense to spend Rs 30, 000 on a course/certification which holds no value in the market. In fact you can easily prepare for ISTQB (https://istqb.org/) certification though extensive s/w testing course material available online or by joining any ISTQB preparation classes ( Rs 4000 - 8000) .
This certification holds far far more value in market then DST certification given by SEED.
- At the time of joining counselor will make tall claims about ’placement assistance’ which you will get at the completion of course. Trust me , it’s all hogwash. You will only get 1-2 daily job mails and even if you meet the criterion and apply for them, you will get shortlisted for interview call very very rarely.
Last time they had so called Job Fair in A.C patil college, kharghar and there were more thousands of students called for just 2 company ( 1. EServe 2. GreyTrix ) and other 2 were placement agencies.Now will you call this a placement assistance, No , rite ??
- Most importantly , their course content is too superficial and won’t help you if you happen to give same answers in an job interview.They usually rush through the course due to faculty shortage and especially the Automation testing part , which needs more practical knowledge and hours to practice.
