I went with my family to shop for my sister’s engagement. We went with great expectations & a lot of excitement. But, all those happy notions went for a toss the moment we stepped into the ’showroom’. There wasn’t a single sales person who came forward to help us find what we came for. After a long wait in front of the exclusive section counter, a guy shows up asking what we need. We explained our requirements. He brought us 3 options.
Remember, we are ladies & like most ladies we like to explore most options to finalize on something we love. He kept playing around those 3 options for almost half an hour. My cousin got irritated and asked him to show us more. & phooofff! he vanished, never to be seen again! Another fellow shows up with some more options. He kept muttering something & throwing costumes in front of us. We felt really uncomfortable & decided to finish off the shopping and go home! We decided on 3 costumes to select from, really grand ones(just to tell we were going all out, its my sister’s engagement!). Soon, we realized out of 3, one costume was already selected by another group So, we never even got a chance to try it on, after it was shown to us. A sales lady came and made my sister put on her first costume, and then she was not seen either! We helped my sister remove the first costume and try on the second one. We got in one more option and tried it on her again. In short, we were the ones draping the costumes around my sister. There were no ladies to help out. We got one from the the department and headed to the ladies section. Well it was the same situation. We faced the same treatment in the ladies section, the gents section and even in the kids section. indifferent behaviors by such inexperienced personnel of such a highly reputed showroom! Well, it didn’t just end there, it was the same at the delivery section too! 3 delivery personnel catering to over 30 customers at a time! Imagine the kind of time it took for them to reach me, find my things & hand it over to me!. About 40 mins! This was just not our plight, there were many annoyed customers standing around me, talking of the same issues we faced.
At the end of the day when we stepped out of the showroom, we were irritated, angry, disappointed on an otherwise happy day. We could have shopped in the showroom right next to this store and came out happy & excited. I vowed never to step foot into Seematti again and am sure none of my family members would too!
