Uttar Pradesh exactly the way it is

I chanced on the ’’Sehar’’ DVD at an Indian store here at Florida, and somehow by the looks of it took if for an evening watch. This is the kind of movie I like to watch. The movie, the background, the realism and everything is excellent. No flashy Bollywood stuff, the songs are background hums that blend in. There is this real-life kind-of romance; a little uneasy and weird outer expression from Arshad Warsi and ’’oh I can’t just stop think about you’’ when all by himself.

The start of the move is with a gruesome murder - and catches all your attention. And then it’s a narrative by a character (whose identity is not disclosed), played by Pankaj Kapoor.

The movie is about a cop, played by Arshad Warsi, who wants to clean up the system. And the kind of support and opposition he gets from various sources is very well portrayed, very real life. The involvement of politics, bureaucrats and the gangster & politician nexus is included in parts here and there. It’s about how will makes its way through all the hurdles.

The scenes are very realistic, the police station, the city streets, and the language the people use (including the rustic east UP street talk).

For some politicians, and what it took for them to get there, was portrayed to give a fair side to some nice people in the political arena. This is the gentleman who plays the CM of UP.

Above all, it is extremely inspiring to see a bunch of cops from Uttar Pradesh that take it on them selves to break the mafia back-bone. I am from east Uttar Pradesh, and how I pray that movie inspires more of our state’s cops to go give these dons a taste of their own doing.

Awesome movie all the way - 11 out of 10.
