During admission the school is shown as the best property in Dehradun but slowly you realize the actual scenario. We feel really sorry to have lured by the admission head Ms. Mona who handles the admissions. She is a great sales person and convinces parents with her very convincing lies and fake talks. The actual scene in the school is totally different.
- No focus on studies - Teachers keep leaving the school as they are not happy there. They talk in hindi and focus is only on the good students who study themselves. The weaker students are not even touched by the teachers. Mona assured that extra classes and special focus will be given on weaker students but that is also a formality. Focus is only on good students as these students make the result better for the school.
- No focus on sports - The golf / horse riding / etc are only for SALES and for 5-10 students who are trained to represent the school in competitions. Other students are not even allowed to try these sports once.
- Faculty - All teachers are trained to be an excellent sales person in all PTM’s and admission process. All teachers are at best of their politeness in PTM’s to keep parents happy. In reality, many teachers are not happy and leave jobs frequently.
- Environment - In order to get maximum admissions they accept children from all kind of backgrounds - even if the child is abusive, violent or has other ill -issues. This spoils the living environment of other children who then find it difficult to live in such negative place. No control on such students makes it even worse and leads to bullying and frequent fights.
- Hostels - During admission, they show the best rooms to parents - ELSE, the hostels have old and torn furniture, bathrooms are not maintained, only one geyser for 6 students etc.
- Food - Same menu is a big problem that the children are forced to eat. Sundays are majorly day of chola bhatura which is oily and badly made. Food is very very basic and not prepared well - considering the standard and fee taken by the school.
- Management - They are all money minded and focus is only on more admissions. Rather than quality of education and sports, they are more focused to have a big building / organize events / invite delegates / and be the limelight in media to keep a good image. Only few students are trained in each sport who can represent the school in competitions, else all other students are neglected by sports teachers as the grounds are used by only trained students for practices.
- Reviews - The teachers and admission incharge Mona, indirectly forces parents to review the school with a 5 star on google and the parents whose children are currently in school have no choice to say no. Maximum 5 stars on google are just because our kids are studying in the school. and I am one of those parents.
- Fee - They increase the fee in 2022 with no valid reason. This time the reason of increasing 15% fee was to build a part of the arts building and increasing expenses. Any one calculate easily that the Selaqui is an already very profitable venture so unrealistic increase in fee is totally uncalled for.
- Complaints - As a parent, when you complain about problems, the teachers and management are not even willing to accept those. When they realize that you are not happy and may take a tough step against the school, they will rather suggest you to take your child away from the school. They clearly do not want to improve and just keep the parents away who might create troubles for them to bring bad name.

Suggestion to the Chairman of the school: Not even sure of the management will read this review and take this seriously but hope they read the below lines:
Your approach of handling students and dealing with their problems is totally wrong. You need to focus on quality and work on growth and personal grooming of each child. This is your moral and ethical responsibility. The current students will bring you hundreds of admissions when they are happy and satisfied. In the long run, the parents will be happy to pay higher fee and spread a good word only when their kids are taken good care in the school.
You are dealing with lives of hundreds of students and when parents trust you for the same, you cannot just break their hopes and belief. If few parents come together and start raising their voices together, it will be really hard for you to handle the bad name coming your way.
Many parents are not happy and all are planning to come out in open with the problems their child is facing and the school is not doing anything in the same. Suggest you to discuss problem in open dialogue meetings(offline or online) with parents and work on their problems and then work on solving their concerns. The parents just expect you to handle their children well and show the growth and improvement that is promised during the admission process. Just keep up to your promises and nothing else.
