I work hard and play hard. I like shopping like everyone else. But I hate being frisked at mall entries. Now I know it is important for our safety. But I’m sure everyone know these security measures are just eyewash. On my last visit to select city mall I was frisked at the gate.
Fine we are use to it. We did some shopping and move to DLF mall next to select. We and ur bags are frisked again. Now we want to go to MGF. To go there we have to go through Select. So we are frisked again at Select and then at MGF. Now we want to go back to our car which is in select and must remind you was also frisked at the gate. Now while entering select from MGF there are three guards who wants to frisk you. One will check your bags. And two will frisk you.
A multi million rupee mall cannot afford metal detectors. These guy will rub their hand all over you shirt, pockets and crutch. Trust me they wont find a weapon or a bomb even if it got a tag on it. I asked them, "Guys, what are you looking for?’" This other assistant security guard ’Harun Rasheed’ with his huge bulging belly tells me that if you don’t want to be frisked do not come to this mall. And I just could not help but consider his suggestion. Why am I going to this mall and spending my hard earned money, when all the time I’m frisked like a thief or terrorist. I remembered the good old days when we use to shop at G.k, C.p, South X, etc. No one frisked us and treated like a terrorist. I’m not spending my money in select city mall or places where one is not welcome.
