The morning began like any other day. The sun was rising the men and women and children were arising to get ready for work, school or what ever it was that morning that they had to do. Who ever guessed that this day, this morning something terrible, something so horrific was going to happen to millions of people in just a few hours? What day am I talking about?
Well it was September 11th 2001. This is the day that the world will never forget, a day that many souls from all walks of life were taken by an act of terror, a day that will go down in world history in remembrance of those who lost their lives because of one man named Osama Bin Laden and his evil followers! My mother bought my son a book named September eleventh two thousand and one , the book is so awesome that I had to share with you all what I read and seen in this book. The book is hardback, and the cover is colored in black. The pages are not numbered but if I decided to sit down and count the actual pages then I would know how many pages there were in the book, but I haven’t done that. So let me just say it’s a very long book.

What you will “see” and “read” in this book!
The book begins with a poem, then it starts out with actually stories of people who called in to 911 in started to report what was going on. It also has actual stories of people who were watching it on tv that morning and what they were feeling and seeing. There is a list of everyone who died in those 4 plain crashes that hit both WTC, Pentagon, and Sommerset Pa. It also has the list of people who were killed in the WTC, Pentagon buildings as well. Millions of wonderful souls were lost this day, and our thoughts will always be with them, and those who loved them. There are countless pages that captured that day, the faces of those firefighters, police officers, medical people and helpers are all so vivid that you can actually feel the sadness and sorrow and fear that were in their eyes and hearts and mind.
You see pictures of the WTC being burnt and a picture of people climbing out the building windows trying to escape the flames that were ready to engulf them in a second. You see a picture of someone falling from the tower to the ground, and pictures of people being posted all over the nearby WTC of loved ones who were lost. This book gives you a minute by minute detailed information of when the plains took off from their airports and when each of them burst into flames as they hit their targets.
The 911 calls from people in the WTC buildings were so horrific and so sad that I couldn’t help but cry as I read each second of their last moments the last words that was recorded before they took their last breath. The book also gives thanks to Canada for their help during this terrible situation. Canada really helped out with all the airlines that were being detoured to their country.
The world really came together that day, peoples hearts were touched not just from the USA, but across the world. You will read a few survivor stories and when you read those stories you will understand how they were feeling during those moments of their lives. You can see photos of the buildings after they were burnt and fallen to the ground. The ash the metal, the papers the blood that all covered the grounds for blocks on end.
I really liked this one passage:
That’s what terrorists intend. Terrorists don’t want to own our land, wealth, monuments, buildings, fields, or streams. They’re not after tangible property. Sure, they aim to annihilate the targets they strike. But their real goal is to get inside our heads, our psyche, and to deprive us _- the survivors - of peace of mind, of trust, of faith, they aim to prevent us from believing again in a world of mercy, justice and love, or working to bring that better world to pass.
Conclusion and my thoughts
I really liked this book, and I have to give credit to all those who helped in this book. To those who took pictures and to all those who got the interviews and information that helped bring this book to our knowledge. If you really want to know what happened that day, and see pictures that will bring you closer to the hearts of those who were there and who witnessed all this terror I recommend that you check this book out.! I warn you that some of the photos in this book might not be suitable for young children to view.
