Here is my advice to all tandoori food lovers in Bangalore. If you are waiting for too long in the queue of Sahib Sindh Sultan waiting for a seat, then you are wasting time. Simply drive down to Madivala and eat in Ohri’s Serengeti.
I have visited this place thrice.
First time I ordered Shikhampuri Kebabs and Awadhi Gosht along with Garlic Naans. The food was amazingly good. But I told myself that this could be a fluke.
I visited the second time in a larger group and ordered Lahsooni Tikka, Chakori Kebab, Rara Gosht, and Naans. And this time again the food was extremely good.
Third time, I ordered Shikhampuri Kebab(my favorite) along with Serengeti Special Ghosht. And this time too I ended up finishing every bit of my food and wanting for more.
This time I felt obliged to go an meet the chef and thank him personally for such awesome art of cooking.(The guy is a genius!)
What is so awesome about this place is that they make such good Tandoori food consistently. Most restaurants are good, but on multiple visits they make one mistake or the other. but these guys are really flawless and consistent.
Some of the things which I liked were .
There was no waiting because the restaurant is pretty massive.
The food was not as expensive as Sahib Sindh (My favorite Tandoori restaurant till date). but the food is not cheap either.
Someday, I would try their bar as well. but I am horrified by Bangalore restaurants drinks(most of them use sugarcane juice as a base). I settled for kingfisher premium beer and it worked like magic on the food!
If you are looking for good Non vegetarian(specially mutton) dishes in Bangalore, then this place is a must visit!
