Well coming to serials . I understand the script is written out first to be canned into a definitive number of episodes so as to arrive at a natural conclusion of a story.
Just the contrary .
The real story is about ratings how much of advertising revenue read money it can generate...never mind who is watching the nonsense stuff be it confused newly married housewives, young kids , teens . The very people who may easily form opinions on life based on these programs.
A serial happens to do well , the number of episodes are increased, never mind which twisted path the story goes on to meander bend hop skip jump etc.
The basis of projecting Good characters as bad ones .if the episode is getting boring etc etc....the concept of Good prevailing over evil at the end ......the end that never arrives.
