I have used seventymm for the whole month of September and am using it from mumbai.
As everyone, I had read many reviews and was hesitant to join seventymm. But they were offering a good deal for cleartrip.com users of rs400 for 2 months and dvds free. They give you 6 dvds but they are 3in1 dvds. So you get 2 dvds. But in my case I ended up received 6 dvds. Well I’m not complaining!
The website is very well made and gives a very good experience. All options are available and work. I like that you can enter both your work and house address and choose which day to deliver where. And it WORKS!
The dvds generally all have scratches, but it is just visual. out of all the dvds I have seen, only 1 maybe has skipped. maybe it is my dvd player but I have not faced significant problem. The video and audio quality also has been good mostly. Maybe some of have not been amazing, but all were good. This depends on the production house who write the dvd so we cant blame seventymm.
You choose a movie and it gets delivered to you the next day between morning and 6. This is what I don’t like. Their delivery timings are very erratic. They do deliver it before 6 but never mention when and are always changing. I had a bad experience the first dvd I ordered which was delivered at 8 pm in my office. But it was never repeated. But I don’t like it that it is not standardized. sometimes he comes at 11am but sometimes he comes exactly at 6pm.
The dvd collection is also good by my standards but I have only found 70% of the dvds that I have liked to see. But its promising.
A major problem people complain is that they put movies on wish list and they never come up. yes I have also faced the problem as once I waited long for movies which don’t show up. But at the same time they have an sms option so as soon as a movie is available they will sms you and you can choose it. Also I have put 25 movies in my list so I guess I have always something to watch. In the end, it may be an issue but I don’t think it is that bad.
The worst thing about seventymm is that the support and service is non existent. That is one reason that I would not at all recommend sevntymm. they do their deliveries through ARAMEX courier and don’t have good communication between them and aramex. So that is irritating because problems occur.
Another big issue is that sometimes when you return your movie seventymm don’t update their system. So you have keep waiting till they do so as to select your next movie. So that is very annoying because they might update in the morning the next day and then if you choose it will only get delivered the next working day.
In summary, seventymm has problems, but the price is the cheapest available and the problems are not consistent enough to disrupt the dvd viewing experience so I would recommend it but knowing all its limitations.
