Somebody conned me into taking a membership here; Let the Almighty’s curse be upon him !!! Amen;
If I die and go to hell !! it will be deja vu for me - been there done that; coz I have been a Seventy MM member for 2 months. The biggest wonder is in this age of consumer activism and awareness these kind of people are still in business;
When I signed up, it was all rosy rosy... I got my first 4 DVDs on time excellent quality oh!!! I WAS ON CLOUD NINE and then (did somebody decide to cast their evil eyes on me !!! )
The real story started
- I referred a friend of mine, she promptly paid up and took a membership. This guy from 70MM who is really good at the con job, took the money, promised to add me as her referrer and as incentive for finding him a victim, I was promised a discount of 1/6th of the total monthly fee. He went back and conveniently forgot to add my name as the referrer; I fought valiantly and in the course of doing so, became poorer by 30 rupees..... Are you wondering why by poorer by 30 rupees
The plot thickens....
- These people have a patentable idea. They have a customer care number that is not toll free... yes you read it right (cancel you appointment with your ophthalmologist...)
I take some time here to salute the guy who came up with this idea....

The ostensible idea behind this is you can do everything on their website; except lodge a complaint (in most of the cases, this is why you call the customer care).
Lets be fair with them, nothing is perfect in this world, even SeventyMM is not. So naturally, you have a complaint; You call this customer care number and......
(Blood curdling cries in the background HELP!!!!!! SOMEBODY HELP!!!!)
You will hear some pre recorded message "Welcoming you to HELL (Seventy MM)" and this will go on till eternity......
Advantage: You can learn virtues like Patience, you can improve your English (by listening to the message), an excellent exercise to your finger ... as you keep on pressing * (to continue)

The movie is the same but its a Russian voice over version...

I being a hopeless freedom lover and believer in capitalism never even thought that my lack of Russian knowledge will land me in such a big mess!!!!
I did the grave mistake of calling that dreaded customer care number (for all you dare devlis from Bangalore it is 60600070 - call at your own risk!!! you are warned that it is not toll free.. Caller discretion advised )
Seventy MM responded that they’ll replace the disc (whatever that meant)
Heading towards nowhere.....
Silly me!!! still waiting !!! blissfully unaware of Seventy MM’s evil designs. That was just the 3rd DVD of my monthly quota of 6 DVDs. And then the first rays of sun fall on the water droplets. Its spring time.. Mother earth is full of life and its payment time again!!!
My next month’s bill is due.
I am dragging these people to consumer court.
Moral of the story: Stay away from Seventy MM like plague......
