Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana is an over-stretched outdated family drama which was made with the intention of making a bumper pack family movie, but this movie seems to be a mixture of certain other films. There is no unique individuality of this film. The concept and plot seems to be taken straight away from other bollywood hits in order to make this film a hit. The only good thing in the movie is the soundtrack.
PLOT - Rajkumar Rao who plays the role of Satyendra is an honest, humble man who works in a government sector. He is much more satisfied with his life. Whereas Kriti Kharbanda plays the role of an aspiring woman who dreams much more higher than Rajkumar Rao. As the movie preceeds, Rajkumar Raos wedding is fixed with Kriti. Rajkumars family has quite orthodox culture in which women of the house are not permitted to work. But kriti who is an aspiring woman decides to sacrifice her love over her dreams. She runs away on the night of the wedding leaving Rajkumar Rao in grief insult. The movie takes twist when after five years both meet, in which Rajkumar Rao is a changed man.
DIRECTION - Director Ratnaa Sinha tries to focus on various social issues such as dowry, bribe, gender equality but overall the movie seems to be an usual outdated bollywood movie which is overstretched. So thumbs down to the director.
PERFORMANCE - The performance of Rajkumar Rao is quite average but looking at the performance of Rao in his previous films, his performance is a bit disappointing. Kriti Kharbanda again fails to impress bollywood with her acting skills. But she seems to be improving comparable to her previous films. Overall performance of the cast was not up to the mark.
SOUNDTRACK - The best part of the movie was the soundtrack. The songs of the film are quite good and catchy, especially Jogi. So , kudos to the composers .
MY OPINION - This movie can be considered as a mixture of Badrinath ki Dulhaniya and Khatta Meetha . So according to me, there is no need to attend this wedding.
