Initially when I registered with the site, I found it too inviting to pay and register. With the kind of the promotion mails, I used to get elaborating on the features, I thought that this was wanted. I was under certain implicit assumptions such as that the registered user have access to every piece of information to a wanted profile. Alas this is not true.
The customer representatives argue that the information will not be divulged even if you are a registered member. It is implicitly assumed that the other member, whose profile we are interested in, is supposed to login to shaadi.com and check for any new messages. How on earth can this be true every time. There are certain people who dont have access to PC daily and may check the details once in a month or two. I found this particularly ridiculous.
Once registered, I was expecting an user guide kind of a document, to have posted it to me, so that I can explore the complete set of features that I have at hand, so that I can utilize every penny of mine, but I havent got any. At least, this was expected, for the fact that I am paying more than 1K for 3 months listing. The help manual on the site is bad and unfriendly.
There are so-many features like Shaadi-Point, Astro-match and the help regarding them are in tatters, to say the least. In overall, the site is attractive portal for a trial user, but if get inside you would confront its inflexible workflows.
