PS: This is more about my experience watching the movie than the Movie itself
I use movies as stressbusters from the moribund office routine and daily work tensions...That is why I prefer light slapstick comedies..(No Entry , Masti...et all) which help me relax and lighten up....This weekend..i decided in favour of Shaadi Se Pehle...Me and a friend of mine...sat in plush multiplex seats..switching off our minds, ready for a movie devoid of logic...and ready to enjoy...Little did we know what was to follow...The movie started in an unusual way with Akshay Khanna telling us his part of the story....We sat up with full attention for moments of laughter...me repeatedly trying to switch off all circuitry filling my mind with vacum..waiting..waiting..It just didn’t click..After the first 1 hour I knew that I had myself in a sticky situation..Having spent 150 Rs of hard earned money..and waiting all week for letting the stress built up...i knew I had had it this time....Gradually came the interval...and the renewed hope that something better awaits in the next half...OH MY..the perennial positive thinker in me did not know what was to follow....
Malaysia and India ..Are these two linked by road by any means...I mean in Govinda Movies show an aeroplane (AIR INDIA --OLD TIMERS would know) touching down to show a change of country ..Here we had hippedy hop Kaula Lumpur ..wssh Mumbai..Then there is Anupam Kher in what I think is one of the worst roles of his life....’’What the Hell ?’’ This is what he keeps on saying...It actually made me angry... What the Hell....The Climax which you can guess after the first 1 Hour..(Credit--They didn’t have a Mystry twist added to prolong misery) duly follows....and we get up contemplating on what we had just gone through...One Plus Point---My work seems much better now..Its relaxing..!
