Volcanoes of silence

There is the silence of darkness around me…just finished reading shadow lines n it has stirred something deep inside me again…after so many years those questions are coming back to me?:)

Into the distance, a ribbon of black

Stretched to the point of no turning back

A flight of fancy on a windswept field

Standing alone my senses reeled

A fatal attraction is holding me fast, how

Can I escape this irresistible grasp?

If you should go skating

On the thin ice of modern life

Dragging behind you the silent reproach

Of a million tear-stained eyes

Don’t be surprised when a crack in the ice

Appears under your feet

You slip out of your depth and out of your mind

With your fear flowing out from behind you

As you claw the ice

You live you learn

You love you learn

You cry you learn

You lose you learn

You bleed you learn

You scream you learn

The philosophy of one century is the common sense of the next

It’s not denial. I’m just selective about the reality I accept."

  • "Did you ever wonder if the person in the puddle is real, and you’re just a reflection of him/her?"

  • "I liked things better when I didn’t understand them."

And there’s one by Lennon that puts things in perspective- "Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans."
