Went to this store’s branch near Thouraipakkam(Chennai) to purchase a refrigerator. A price was quoted by the salesman, and he offered to deliver the fridge for no additional charges. When I placed the order(on a subsequent visit), I was hit with a Rs 500 charge for delivery. The salesperson offered me all sorts of reasons why such charges are necessary, but avoided answering questions on why he made the offer in the first place.
I gave up and paid the charge, but did seriously admonish the salesman for misleading customers.
After a few days, I needed to purchase another item. I went to the same store, and promptly encountered the same salesman. I waited in the store(on the first floor) for 10 minutes, hoping that someone would demonstrate the product. But all salesmen stood idle on the ground floor, but did not wish to attend on me. Their way of harassment and getting back, I suppose - how dare I complain against them? The store manager was as indifferent to this complaint as he was to the first one.
Is this Shah’s style of customer service? I wonder.
I only thank my lucky stars(reading the other review) that the item delivered was indeed brand new and not the display piece.
