Hey, before you plan to alter my jawline, do what you have come to do.....read my review!
Sharukh is undoubtably a great performer overall. His acting potential is certainly much better than what he demonstrates in the movies chosen by him. I would be good to him and would ignore Guddu like movies done by him. At times he seems to be over acting. His k-k-k-k-Kiran was too much. He seems to work with the assumption that he is a super star and there is no one who comes close to him. Well, such an arrogance might be dangerous for his career.
I am a true fan of some of his performances:
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na
Swades
Yes Boss
Raju Baj Gaya Gentleman (although he had difficulty sharing screen with Nana Patekar)
Dil Se
Baazigar
I also liked his performance in the tele serial Fauji in the 1980s.
I have seen him talk on shows like Koffee with Karan. He seems to be a very intelligent and mature person. His sense of humor is great. I fail to understand what prompts him to act with that ignorance in his movies. His perfomances in "Asoka" and K3G are pedestrian.
If we look at actual superstars like Amitabh Bachchan or Dilip Kumar, we see that they still put in a lot of effort in rehearsals. Despite a trail of successes across decades these guys are so humble. Sharukh needs to learn something from them and drop his arrogant style. That "style" is not just style, but an irritating gesture in almost everything he does on the silver screen. I liked his performance in Swades because he dropped his signature style there (for most part).
Sharukh could have done without "Don".(Farahan Akthar too!). He has charisma and is very energetic in his performances, but few directors have been able to exploit it well enough.
Before I end, I would humbly request my readers to ignore this article if they do not like someone critising Sharukh. This is purely my opinion about Sharukh Khan , something that has taken shape over more than 10 years.
