I thought a lot before writing this review, cause I know the topic I am selecting is very controversial and a lot of readers will not like this?But still I am writing my personal opinion about the ?KING KHAN??
Success story of king khan?..
Shah Rukh Khan or you say him the ?King khan? means the king of bollywood cinema. Started his career with a serial called ?Fauji?.No one noticed him in that serial since he had a very small role then he tried his luck with a couple of other serials like ?Doosra Kewal? , ? Circus? and ?Sanjha Chulha?..
But his big day came when he was signed for the movie ?Deewana?., his first Bollywood movie. In which he played the supporting actor along with the likes of Rishi Kapoor. Deewana was the right kind of platform required to make it big in the industry. Deewana was a big budget movie with a heavy star cast. It proved to be big hit but king khan just bagged a few movies rather than fame?
BAAZIGAR?HIS FIRST SOLO MOVIE?.
Than came the debutant director duo of Abbas ?Mustan who showed immense trust in king khan and casted him in the lead role.He was the first hero who played the grey shade and started the trend of anti-heroes.Bazigar turned out to be stepping stone in his career after that he has never looked back?.
Post Bazigaar phase?
Post Bazigaar he did a few movie of the likes ?Raju ban guya gentleman? ?Guddu? , ?Darr? ?Karan Arjun? and all.None of these turned out to be big hits and his career graph starts moving downwards?
Aditya chopra?s ?Dilwane Dulhania Le Jayengee??..
This movie made Shah Rukh Khan the king khan? This was his second movie with the Yash Chopra?s camp.. he was first signed by Yash Chopra for the movie ?Darr? that didn?t prove to be a big success but he won the trust of chopra?s with his performance.
Aditya chopra signed him for his first home production and that turned out to be big super hit. And king khan become the favourite of yash raj camp after that he acted in all their movies whether it be ?Mohhabtein? or ?Veer Zara?
Karan johar?s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai?
Who can for get this all time master piece from Karan Johar..with this movie Shah Rukh became larger than life. His name became bigger than the movie itself..and he became the favorite of the Johars as well.After that all movies of johars had one ingredient in common that?s the king khan?
His current status?
He is indeed the number one and at the peak of his career.. His movies , like Chalte Chalte and ?Main Hoon Naa ? are typical examples to show that its his name that sells and if you cast him u can rest assure of the success of your movie?
Most recently ?Neha dhupia? made a very interesting comment that there are only two things that sells in bollywood one is Shah Rukh Khan and other is sex?
But is he the real King of Bollywood?..
Now the question comes? is the king khan for real???
If we will just go through his major hits like ?Dilwale dulhania le jayenge?, ?Kuch kuch hota hai? or say ?VEER ZARA?.. All have one thing in common he played the soft romantic characters with an overdose of emotions.. all movies are a kinda of same?.Whenever he tried to do something different for say comedy..in ?Duplicate? or ?One two ka four? it proved to be big disasters?
When it comes to drama and action ?Guddu? ?dil aashna hai? ?koyla? are all big disasters?
Even ?Darr? and ?Karan Arjun? with biggies like Yash chopra and Rakesh Roshan didn?t prove to be succesfull?
So one can say if he does his particular melodrama and stuff he can turn the movie as successful? but if you give him a bit different role he will prove to be a big disappointment most recent one is SWADES?
