When I first stepped into the place I was not expecting a lot in terms of good taste and even the service as the waiters looked very busy and there was around 20 minutes of waiting on a Friday afternoon, at lunch time. I went with a colleague of mine and we chatted till we got a place.
Fortunately they called out to us well within 10 minutes and gave us a good table to sit at. We sat down and I ordered a Malai Kofta, Tandoori Butter Roti and a Dahi Bhalla Papdi Chat. My colleague ordered a thali called Amritsari Naan Thali that had Channa Masala and even Dal Makhani with it.
The plates were shoved under our faces and on the first bite, I was transported to heaven. I have never had such fabulous Malai Kofta even in the North ever! Can you beat that? My friend’s thali too was tasty with a lot of butter, pickles and other small accompaniments. Wow, this was one hell of a meal!
This is going to soon become my regular lunch adda!
