Since Bollywood hasnt made a film in this genre in such a long time, I have high expectations for this one. However, they have repeated the same action after everything that transpired. "Vash" is a Gujarati film that was released last year; "Shaitaan" is the Hindi version of the film. Im going to compare "Shaitaan" to "Vash" since it came out after that film, and viewers will do the same.
"Shaitaan" concludes happily, in contrast to "Vash". Not to give anything away, but the film is excellent to see except for the conclusion. The excitement and, naturally, R Madhavans acting are extraordinary. Also excellent in his performance was Ajay Devgn.
The main theme of the film is Black Magics transformation into the worlds new God and eventual transformation into "Shaitaan" (Demon). Even if the plot of this film moves slowly, I still manage to finish watching it because of the tension and excitement in each moment. In one incident, for example, Jhanvi, the daughter of Ajay Devgn, was forced to sit on a gas cylinder with its lid open and a matchstick in her hand by R Madhavan when the police arrived to examine the matter. This scene gave me chills. Additionally, how Ajay persuades the police to back off and that everything happening here is merely a get-together between family and friends.
