No Shakalaka, Only BOOM on head!

Shakalaka Boom Boom deals with a competition b/w two energetic youngsters, Who strive to emerge as a winner at the end.

Story:*

*Its the MUSIC which is raising lives of two men, The first AJ[Bobby Deol] who is the most famous singer present in New York today who is loved by everyone. The Next comes Reggie[Upen Patel] who is a multitalented person having a lot of attitude for overcoming the position held by AJ. i.e  “THE NO.1". Ruhi[Kangana Ranaut] is an aspiring singer, an admirer of AJ and is already done over with Reggie. Sheena[Celina Jaitley] who is a PR worker and has helped Reggie a lot but currently she has an unpleasant feeling about him as he has rejected her contemptuously.  When these two girls enter the life of two “Musical Fighters” they are enforced in deceit, sex and betrayal. There grows a never ending mind fight between AJ and Reggie which slowly grows and ultimately grows into a serious depression. Which Man will be the winner and who will over the MUZIC?.

*Stats:

Direction: Suniel Darshan disappoints this time too. Its been a long time since he has taken up any new subject [SLBB is an exception]. The movie lacks subject material and goes of the track as possible it can. The theme "Music" is seen only in a few starting and climax minutes of the film, The rest just drags on with mediocre comedy and awful characterisation. The direction in short is just fine but easily could be better if those long list of characters and songs were cut short by a bit.

Acting: Bobby Surprises this time, His performance level has increased a lot from his last flick’Dosti’. Upen Patel delivers a strong ferocious performance and is almost upto the mark. Kangana Ranaut is watchable, Celina has nothing much to do[except from smooching and showing her cleavage]. Anupam Kher, though in short role performs the best.Govind Namdev, Asrani, Vivek Vasvani perform strictly okay.

Positives: The film’s look is good and has a modern day look. The scenes of Upen and Bobby face to face are good and effective. Locales are good and show money, which is nicely spent. Dialogues by Anurag Kashyap are good. The film’s music is pleasing and some tracks including the title and "Thare Vaste" are good.

Negatives: The film progresses slowly and most of the content runs out of the way.The film is quite long which can be easiely cut off by atleast 25 mins. There are too many characters in the movie which cause enough frustration for one to quit this movie. Cinemetography is below average, Camera angles breaking ca be easiely pointed out.

Overall^. This movie will be liked only by the target audiences, there may be entertainment, there may be style. But somethings really missing. Ina word **"BELOW AVG."

MOVIE GENRE: **Since thr is no option for this movie genre, I will name it as Weak Suspence Thriller.but without any suspence at all.
