One of the famous and familiar serial in DD channel is Shakthimaan. I remember it was telecasted on Sunday at 11 am and roads were deserted as no one is there, everybody watching Shaktimaan on DD1. India’s first own superhero has make the whole India crazy.
I really like the characters of Gangadhar and Geetha Viswas. It was telecasted in my childhood may be late 1990’s or early 2000. I used to watch it regularly. Shaktimaan always tries to save earth and people from Jackal who always tries to spread darkness. Mukesh Khanna played as Shaktimaan and Gangadhar. Every 1990’s kid must have known about shaktimaan serial. Shaktimaan was more serious and had numerous amazing powers.To hide his actual identity from people, he used to turn himself into Gangadhar, who was working as a reporter for a newspaper.
