I recently happened to watch the movie Shakuntala Devi which is streaming now on Amazon Prime with IMDB rating of 6.3. It’s a really nice movie depicting the life of a child prodigy born in pre-independance India. The movie takes us through a roller coaster of emotions with conflicts between mothers and daughters. Shakuntala Devi is a fierce woman who never compromises with her dreams, travels the whole world making India proud. The plot keeps moving to and fro between timelines which some may find confusing but it’s manageable. Performances are simply mind blowing. All actors are great. Music is a bit average but the story itself is very absorbing. All in all it is a one time watch. We all must watch it because it’s really great to know about the talents our country had in the past.
