Hello everybody....
I am a guy who doesn’t like to watch movies (don’t have enough patience to sit for 2 to 3 hrs). But I like Hollywood movies just for their presentation and fiction. I came to see Shallow Hal on MBC 2, (which is the only English channel I receive) just b’coz I am very much satisfied with the trailer. The movie gets started.....
The movie has a very nice theme as “Internal beauty should be seen with people whom we meet instead of their external beauty”. The hero in this movie at first started flirting with every woman he sees. But nobody cares for what he is doing. One day he met a hypnotist in a lift which got struck in the middle. He start telling his problems and the guy hypnotized him in such a way that he started seeing only the internal beauty. Slowly he had fallen in love with a women who was so fat and ugly. But for him she was very pretty. He introduced her to his friend saying that she was so pretty & his friend was shocked that something strange had happened to him.
Later, his friend found that the hero was hypnotized. So he met the guy who hypnotized his friend and asked him to bring back his friend to normal. He was told a phrase which can bring the hero to the normal. The friend does the same and the hero becomes a normal human being. He could not able to identify anybody including the one he loves. Later he identifies but could not accept the fact that he had loved such a girl. But he could not forget her and decided to marry her.
The Screenplay was excellent and I enjoyed watching each and every scene.
