First Rumble in the Bronx, then Rush Hour and now this. Jackie Chan seems to have perfected the art of making an action/comedy blockbuster. The story has nothing much to it. Theres a good guy, a bad guy and a funny sidekick. How they rescue a damsel in distress is all what this movie is about. But you dont go to watch a Jackie Chan movie for the plot, do you? You go for for those jaw dropping stunts and the comedy that will keep you in splits. And here Chan does not disappoint!
For those whore interested in the storyline - Chan is an imperial guard in medieval China whose princess gets kidnapped by a baddie and brought to the wild wild west. Chan is deputed on a mission to the States to get her back. He finds an able partner - a bumbling highway robber, to help him out. Much of the comic relief comes from the US-China cross cultural (mis)understanding situations.
All in all, an entertaining movie which will keep you in splits! Jackie Chans super stunts and comic timing is too good. His sidekick Owen Wilson is ok, but I thought Chris Tucker in Rush Hour was better...
