I recently had a trip to shani shingnapur its a 2hour trip from Shirdi there are lot of private cars available near shirdi temple who will take you to shani shingnapur and the return fare will cost you Rs. 100 to 150. but there is a catch they will stuff the people double then the vehicle’s capacity.
the car will stop at the their own shops. I decided not to buy a thali since I just wanted to visit the temple. the local goons at the shops came and started misbehaving us stating that they have contributed to all the cars come here and we need to buy thali compulsory which was costing 101 & 151 respectively. when we protested against this all of sudden 7to 8 local shop vendors gathered around us and started threatening us keeping our luggage out of car and asking for the full money. we told them that we will make a police complaint against this dadagiri they said that there is a police station nearby even if you go there they wont touch us we are locals we can take anyone for ride.they started abusing us and giving bad words. we end up paying the so called extortion money and left the place for darshan as like any other ordinary person we do not wish to get into any cheap act which will not suite to our personality
I still remember it was a shop no 05 .i would request friends not to prefer these private transfers.they are very risky if you are travelling with your family prefer a local buses or transport making the things clear before you board them. I do not wish anyone to face this situation.
such people spoils the spirituality of such places and they are no one but the local villagers. if any villager read this please convey this message to your people they might understand if you explain in your language. this is not we should treat tourist coming to your place and giving bread and butter to your family.
