As I close the book with the Blurb written on the backside coming into full view of my watery eyes. A tear drop fell onto the page and leaves a patch which the book will have for ages as it rests in one of my book shelf in my room.
The tear drop made its mark on the page, just as the story of Shantaram has left an everlasting impression in my life, which I cant or probably will never forget.
The book has taught me some things which even some religions have failed to observe. The story of Shantaram, an escaped convict into the city of Bombay long before I was even born has changed my life. Who could have imagined that?
I say None
The best part about the book is that even though its a true story, it looks a pure work of fiction since the things happened to Shantaram have been so exciting, yet so dangerous. So Weird, yet so obvious. So fast, yet so slow.
They say that you learn from other peoples mistake.but for me, just by reading into the life of Shantaram has brought about a positive change which I wish to carry on to my grave as well.
927 pages of life in its purest form, the story will definitely manage to touch your souls. If not through the Lin Baba(Shantaram), then through the people he has met in his life back then.
The Struggle, The Survival, the will to live, the wish to die, the pain, the joy, the fear, the daring attitude, The Hatred, The Love. The Life of Shantaram.
Read it. Live it!
