How am I gonna use up a minimum of 150 words for this review, considerinf that I was in the Shanti Sagar on CMH road, for hardly 15 mins. Went in there on a Saturday morning, expecting to have a leisurely brunch.
First thing I noticed was the crowd. There was hardly any table empty. We took a table and started going through the menu card. OMG... it was costly. 27 bucks for a bhel.
Never imagined such a thing.. Can get really awesome bhel for Rs 10 anywhere on the roadside in Pune or Mumbai. Anyway, inspite of the dosas costing in the range of 30-50, we decided to order some. Mind you.. we were there for almost 10 mins now and not a single waiter had come by our table. Not even a glass of water was offered.
There were just two guys catering to more than 40 people. We did try to call one of them, but nobody seemed interested. Disappointed, we left the place without having anything.I have a few lingering questions:-1. Why was the restaurant charging such exhorbitant sums for simple dishes?2. If it was for the ambience and service, then why wasnt there any service at all?If restaurants want us to visit them, instead of the unhygienic looking roadside stalls, then they better live up to their pricing and reputations.
