This hospital is 24 hours only for name sake. The premises are literally dead at night and even if you happen to go there, the doctors who come will tell you to come the next day.
For nearly 3-4 days I was suffering from extremely high fever, repeated chills, shivers, severe headaches and was in no condition to commute to a clinic or wait there unless helped by someone.
A majority of my closest of friends worked in IT companies and given how they work in shifts, his work ended mostly by midnight and he reached home at 1 am only. So I requested if he could take me to a hospital that functions 24x7. The nearest seemingly decent hospital(at least from outside) was Shanti Gopal Hospital. So we went there at about 1:30 am.
I was actually suffering from typhoid as the symptoms resembled that. Often the symptoms spiked to severe levels and it is very hard to manage alone in such conditions.
I explained to the doctor that I dont have any other person who can bring me to the hospital and it would be great if tests or check up can be done right there. He appeared very annoyed to have been woken up. If his duty is assigned for the night, then what is his problem as to what time I come in? And why does the hospital advertise itself as 24 hour if they expect people to come as persarkari timings only? His question was "what suddenly happened now that you had to come at this hour?". Despite all efforts in trying to explain to him that I didnt have anyone else to bring me over, his attitude was totally casual and told me to buy some Dolo from the pharmacy in the hospital and come the next day.
I already know how to buy OTC paracetamol. Whats the use of going to a doctor for this? This hospital, as others have rightly pointed out in their reviews is full of idiots living in 1980 and have no idea about how the civilised world lives. They want to work from 10-4 only and think everyone is perhaps a farmer who has unlimited time to be going to them over and over for things that should take only 10 minutes and one visit.
These kind of cheap behavior makes one wonder whether any of the doctors there are even qualified or joined with fake degrees.
