Shararat

A story of 3 magical fairies. Jeeya:Jiya is a bubbly, smart, 18-year-old who has magical powers, she is not sure how to use. Jiya would like to use her magic to help her friends, but it always backfires and gets her into trouble. She has a crush on her friend Dhruv. Though not a part of the ’’hip’’ crowd like Pam - she is still Pam’s object of envy. Her best friend is Meeta. Radha:Radha is a family person, and loves her family immensely. She uses her magical powers only when necessary. Suraj:Suraj, a doctor, who was shocked to find out, on his wedding night that his beautiful wife has magical powers. Radha cannot resist using her magic to help Suraj. Suraj loves Jiya dearly and thinks that she doesn’t need magic to prove her ability. Nani:If Nani had her way, she would do every thing by magic. She is a loud but loveable lady, who simply cannot understand why her daughter and son-in-law are so against magic. She has come to live with her daughter as she cannot bear to be parted from her grandchildren. She advises Jiya to use magic for everything against Radha’s wishes. Jai: Jai (Jiya’s younger brother) is blissfully unaware of the magical powers of the three women in the family. He notices strange things happening, but thinks these are very normal. Rani Devi:Rani Devi received the boon from a sage of magical powers for her immense kindness. She is over 1000 years old and is deceased. She lives in a net. She is always seen with her two bodyguards, called Antara and Mantara, who are always seen at the gates of heaven. Dhruv: Dhruv is a good friend of Jiya and Meeta. He too has a crush on Jiya but they haven’t expressed their feelings to each other. He is not aware of Jiya’s magical powers but considers her special anyway. Meeta: Meeta, Jiya’s best friend, is simple, sweet and sincere. She is unaware of Jeeya’s magical powers. Good at studies, she dreams of making the world a better place. Meeta falls for guys easily and Jiya tries to help her get the desired guys. Meeta can’t understand why the boys fall for Pam instead of her. Meeta has got a crush on Raja, who is Dhruv’s friend but Raja avoids Meeta. Pam:Pam - snobbish, snooty and nasty. She is very hip and hence popular in college. Though she has everything, she is always competing with Jiya. She resents Jiya and Meeta as they hang out with Dhruv. She is always with her gang of two girls, Ina and Tina. Mrs Sabarwalai: Who would want a neighbour like Mrs Sabarwal? Nosey, suspicious, borrowing sugar at the drop of a hat... She lives next door to the Malhotras and is constantly spying on them using her husband’s binoculars. No one believes her claim that the Malhotras have magical powers. Her only goal in life is to get her husband and the world to believe her. Their fat son Bittu constantly bullies Jai, but Nani often takes revenge!
