Shrekhaan is indeed a great player in this market, and has been operating for a while now, also has been a great amount of money.
I dont know about other cities but here in jaipur its pretty famous and many of relatives and friends have got their accounts with the same.
Me and my profit had made some transaction through his sharekhaan demat account, in which we made a little profit and most of the amount was being swiped away as commission, broking charges, service tax and handling charges.
This gave some real pain as the agent tried to sell this account by saying that the charges are very less as compared to other broking firms and you are at a win win stage.
There are other problems too. Be it their website or account limit or pay in or pay out.
Hardly a month or two ago, my frind tried to log into their website for some reason, I guess to take a statement, but it gave error like "Your request cannot be processed now, please try after some time". We were frustrated with it as couldnt get access of it. Calling their customer care is such an achievement one could get.
Half of the time they dont pick up or after picking they dont give you response, you can very get your patience tested there.
