Why Sharekhan customer service sucks ...

Below I will narrate my experience for just opening the account. Its been 10 days and my account is nowhere near opening.

  1. Sharekhan representative came to my office for account opening, the guy was new on the job and was not well versed with the details .

  2. When I asked him to fill the details on the form, he was in a hurry to get more clients and said he will fill the form himself and update the details. He took the cheuqe  and went away promising that within 7 days I will have my starter kit and account open and running.

  3. On the 4rth day i  get a mail from share khan that there is come objection on my form no  and that I need to contact them.Nothing is mentioned in the mail as to why there is an objection against my form.Please find the email below

  1. Kept trying the customer service no 1800227500 or 39707500

first hold 15 minutes then someone hung up.


second hold 15 minutes and someone answered the call, soon I was transferred to another line.


Hold again for 5 to 7 minutes then a lady answers the phone I give her my form no and again I am on hold for 3 minutes, she gets back saying form is in objection, why she does not know, please contact our malleshwaram office in bangalore , gives me a  no 64527401and contact persons names nagesh


6 Called malleshwaram office and they say , that by mistake they forgot to fill 1 digit of the bank account no , and nagesh the person their said he will talk to the office and get it fixed... and he will revert back with the updates this was monday morning and he said he will return the call in the evening.


evening no calls came, again I called MR nagesh and he said that he has spoke to the office within 3 days account will open, kept waiting 3 more days nothing happened...


called on wednesday nagesh said will check the status and revert back, no one called back


called on thursday morning and he said will call back in the evening after status check.


waited till 5pm no one called back, called malleshwaram office spoke to nagesh again and he said it will take 3 more business days,


this literally blew my lid off, , , I told him I no longer want to open an account and asked him to return my cheque of 10k and my documents.


called the sharekhan helpline again was on hold for 20 minues at 5:30 in the evening, finally someone answered, gave them the feedback on service and asked them to return my documents and cheques.the lady said we could have helped if you were here in bombay, this really pissed me off and I said , what do u mean to say is that sharekhan prefers only people living in mumbai to use thier services as all thier other offices are a waste, and she said no, nothing like that but, things would be different if you were present locally, anyways I gave up and asked them to send my stuff back.


So friends please watch  out... as sharekhan customer service sucks....


they are just there to take people for a ride... and don’t know a thing about promises and commitments.


It is sad to see an organisation run in such a way, where people do not have knowledge and sense to handle customers ...


I wish the CEO of share khan reads this review and realizes, what his people are doing.....


as I feel if they dont have a business ethics and are playing around with customers time, patience and money.


The customer care sharekhan Bombay said they will ask someone to look into the matter to ensure I get my documents and cheques back on time today is 14th Feb 08. lets see how many days it will take for them to return my documents and cheques.
