Visiting Mumbai and was recommended to the Shatranj by the concierge. My wife and myself decided to try it out. The address was impressive, and the first impression was decent till we sat on the table. Dirty chairs and dirty table cloths stared unimpressively at us. Service was good till the host recommended us two vegetarian dishes (we are veggies) that sounded good. However, they ended up having the same curry except one of them had paneer. Called the host and got a silly answer - they were prepared differently when the server admitted it was one and the same. The dish was super oily.. not worth a repeat business. On the positive side, the drink was good. Give it a low two stars. We would not go again.
