It is such a pity that meaningful movies made with purpose are never appreciated in our country.
It is then our duty to spread the word about such movies so that more and more people watch them.
I have been trying to catch up on this one for a while but some thing or the other kept coming in the way. Finally, I have just watched Shaurya and want to tell all of you DO NOT MISS THIS ONE.
The movie addresses the issue of crime in uniform, that of the Indian Army. The cast is simply superb. Rahul Bose, Javed Jaaferi and K K Menon can breathe life in to any dead script. And just imagine what they can do to a great script.
The story revolves around the murder of a Major by his Junior Officer who then faces a Court Martial.
Every angle of the story, every scene is perfect. The coming of age of the character played by Rahul, the arrogance and power of the character played by K K and the practicality of the character played by Javed seem so well etched.
This one is a must watch for all of you. Yes it is a bit serious. Because it addresses a serious issue.
Movies like Shaurya make us believe that the art of film making is not only about great locales, designer clothes and toned bodies but it is all about telling a story that can move you.
