Shillong a place to fall in love with

I visited Shillong two times till date, first time in rainy season and secondly in winter. In winter its quite cold but it doesn’t snow because its height is 1430 mt only.We arrived in Shillong from Guwahati and on the way a beautiful lake by the name of Umiyam Lake greeted us.Its locally known as Baraapaani. Then we reached Shillong and boarded out hotel.

The same day we went to visit spider museum and Shilling peak. Its a beautiful city and the city we saw from the top of the city.In rainy season there was no orange in trees but in winter trees were full of trees .We the next day by conducted tour visited Elephants falls and bishop biddon falls. Both are wonderful and rich in rain water. We saw the tallest cathedral of India in Shillong and a golf course .The same day we visited Lady Haidari park and a zoo.We wondered at collections of mountain owls.

They were very lethargic to pose for photoshoot and with indignity they moved their heads 180° back surprisingly .We enjoyed boating ride in a beautiful lake whose water was found to be clear and transparent .we everyday used to had good food like one day continental, the next day Chinese in this manner. In Shillong there are n number of hotels and restaurants .If you go in a group or with friends its a place to thunder in.I liked its simplicity amid Occidental atmosphere and cultural .The people are helpful and cordial .In hotel, guest house, sightseeing everyone will help and pamper you .
